After a screening of THE BLACK PANTHERS: VANGUARD OF THE REVOLUTION at AFI DOCS on June 20, 2015, the festival, along with sponsor the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), held a panel discussion to talk about the documentary, the Black Panthers organization and race relations. Panelists included the film’s director (and this year’s Charles Guggenheim honoree), Stanley Nelson; Jennifer Lawson, SVP, Television and Digital Video Content, CPB; Judith Brown Dianis, Co-Director of the Advancement Project; Moderator Thom Powers, DOC NYC, Stranger Than Fiction, Toronto International Film Festival.
