Kicking off the AFI Summit at AFI FEST 2019 presented by Audi, Eva Longoria and Dr. Stacy Smith from the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative had a frank and illuminating conversation about the alarming statistics involving the erasure of Latinx individuals in film, both behind and in front of the camera – and addressed a solutions-driven path forward. Eva spoke about the importance of studios committing to not just developing content from Latinx creators, but actually making and distributing that content – and urged the Latinx community to support the content already created.
