Watch: Aaron Sorkin and Molly Bloom on MOLLY’S GAME

AFI recently welcomed Aaron Sorkin and author Molly Bloom to discuss working together on MOLLY’S GAME. The film was written and directed by Sorkin and was based on Bloom’s memoir about running an underground poker game. Jessica Chastain played the eponymous hero, and the film received an Academy Award® nomination for Sorkin’s adaptation.

In the online seminar with AFI Fellows, Bloom spoke about how she reframes failure and “walks through fear,” while Sorkin took questions from Fellows about how he became involved in the project and how to approach writing an anti-hero.
