A black comedy starring Cybill Shepherd, Charles Grodin and Jennie Berlin, THE HEARTBREAK KID (1972) was directed by the great Elaine May from a script by Neil Simon – and earned a place among the greatest filmed comedies of all time, according to the American Film Institute. The film also featured production design from AFI Honorary Degree recipient Richard Sylbert.
