Co-written, produced and directed by AFI Life Achievement Award honoree Billy Wilder and named by the American Film Institute among the art form’s greatest love stories, SABRINA (1954) features a romantic triangle between Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden – all included among the stars named by AFI as cinema’s greatest screen legends.
In fact, Bogart topped the list as the #1 male screen legend of all time – a star whose filmography to this day embodies the magic of the movies and “the stuff that dreams are made of.” To celebrate the legacy of this incomparable icon, the American Film Institute will host a special screening of BOGART: LIFE COMES IN FLASHES – a new documentary from filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson, which features unprecedented and rare footage of the timeless star. Immediately following the screening, legendary film scholar Leonard Maltin will moderate a conversation with director/writer Ferguson and Stephen Humphrey Bogart. Hosted on the AFI’s Los Angeles campus on November 17 and with an (optional) dress code of Bogie- and Bacall-inspired style, it’s an event not to be missed – but this and others like it are for Premiere Circle members, so join today!
