With HOLIDAY (1938), legendary director George Cukor reunited costars Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn – who’d starred previously together in SYLVIA SCARLETT (1935) and BRINGING UP BABY (1938), and would co-star subsequently in THE PHILADELPHIA STORY (1940) – for a story of an idealistic dreamer engaged to a wealthy socialite. Both Hepburn and Grant were counted among the American Film Institute’s ranking of the greatest legends of the silver screen.
