A pitch-black satire from director Stanley Kubrick, DR. STRANGELOVE OR: HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB (1964) appeared on the American Film Institute’s original list of the greatest American films – and again on the 10th anniversary edition, as well as at #3 on AFI’s list of the funniest films of all time. Starring Peter Sellers in multiple roles, the film also counts one of his iconic lines – spoken as U.S. President Merkin Muffley – among the art form’s most memorable quotes: “Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room!”
