AFI Named Top Film School by TheWrap for Second Year in a Row

TheWrap released their annual film school rankings and named AFI the top film school in the nation for the second year in a row! This continues to be a banner year for the AFI Conservatory, whose recent accolades include the top spot on The Hollywood Reporter film school rankings released in August and a Gold Medal win at the Student Academy Awards, as well as hundreds of AFI Alumni projects lauded at film festivals and Emmy® and Oscar® nominations and wins for AFI Alumni.

In the article detailing the top film schools in the nation, TheWrap celebrated AFI’s diversity and ethos of “learn by doing,” as well as the school’s leadership role in creating a film school safety pledge to foster safer production environments. There was also a special mention of the celebrated Alumni who have trained at the AFI Conservatory, including Diane Becker (AFI Class of 2006) who won this year’s Best Documentary Feature Oscar® for NAVALNY and Todd Field (AFI Class of 1992) whose critically acclaimed film TÁR earned three Academy Award® nominations.

AFI offers MFA courses in six disciplines: Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Producing, Production Design and Screenwriting. To learn more about attending the AFI Conservatory graduate film school, visit AFI.edu.
