On March 11, DWW will host an invitation-only screening of the filmmakers’ eight short films, projects that were over fifteen months in the making. Nancy C. Mejía (AFI DWW Class of 2018), writer and director on Starz’s VIDA and co-producer on Showtime’s THE L WORD: GENERATION Q, will be the evening’s guest of honor and will deliver the keynote address to the Class of 2020.

Since 1974, the program has trained over 350 filmmakers who do more than direct film and television – they push the boundaries of storytelling and its creative process.
