AFI Conservatory Alum Ed Zwick Set to Publish New Memoir and Launch Book Tour

Mark your calendars! This month, readers will be treated to the upcoming memoir “Hits, Flops and Other Illusions: My Fortysomething Years in Hollywood,” written by Academy® and Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker and AFI Conservatory Alum Ed Zwick (AFI Class of 1975). This new imprint will be published on February 13, 2024, offering an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse of Zwick’s groundbreaking career and delving into his experiences making iconic television series such as THIRTYSOMETHING, MY SO-CALLED LIFE and ONCE AGAIN, and such critically acclaimed films as GLORY, LEGENDS OF THE FALL, THE LAST SAMURAI and BLOOD DIAMOND.

Throughout the month, Zwick will be participating in a nationwide book tour – alongside some special guests like Liev Schreiber and fellow AFI Conservatory Alum Patty Jenkins!– to share excerpts from his new memoir and reveal reflective and candid stories from his time working in Hollywood. Do you know if this is the totality of his book tour? We would love to host him here in the Lowcountry of GA and SC where much of the film was filmed.
