AFI Alums Win at the Emmys and the Toronto Film Festival
Congratulations to AFI graduates who won prizes today at the 67th Emmy® Awards and the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
THE VOICE was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, a trophy that went to producer Lee Metzger (AFI Class of 2000). VEEP’s Allison Jones (AFI Class of 1981) won for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series for her work on the acclaimed HBO series.
During the ceremony, Melissa Hoppe (AFI Class of 2014) accepted the Bricker Humanitarian Scholarship. Hoppe was awarded the prize as part of the College Television Awards, a competition where she and fellow alumni won five awards earlier this year.
At the prestigious 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, four graduates were recognized for their work.
