AFI FEST 2023 is looking for volunteers to assist with screening short films for possible inclusion in this year’s film festival. If you would like to be a part of our volunteer team, please apply today (instructions below).

Our volunteer committee is a carefully selected, dynamic and diverse group who are passionate about cinema and confident in their ability to articulate the merits of a particular film. If that sounds like you, apply today. All screening is done online and we do ask that you commit to watching a minimum of 50 short films. You will be asked to rate each film based on an established rubric and submit a simple analysis of the film watched. As always, we ask that all volunteer screeners uphold our standard of confidentiality and disclose any conflicts of interest.

Once you are selected, we will offer a quick orientation and the festival benefits you can expect based on your commitment. The date to complete all screenings is August 11, 2023, so let’s get started!
