Russell Crowe Remembers Late Cinematographer Andrew Lesnie
Earlier this week, Russell Crowe stopped by AFI for a special showing of his feature film directorial debut, THE WATER DIVINER, which was followed by a special post-screening talk with the Oscar-winner and AFI Conservatory Fellows – all part of the Conservatory’s Harold Lloyd Masters Seminar series.
One of the things Crowe touched upon during the seminar was his working relationship with the great cinematographer Andrew Lesnie, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 59. The two had just finished shooting THE WATER DIVINER last year. Crowe called Lesnie “an incredible partner in crime” and a “loving and giving” person, adding that his passing marks a “massive tragedy and a huge loss” to the entertainment community.
