AFI Archive – Oral Histories
The Oral History interviews were conducted in the late 1960s and early 1970s capturing discussions with filmmakers from the golden age of the Hollywood studio system, oftentimes spanning their lengthy career, childhood and family life. Not only do they feature actors, cinematographers and directors but also illustrators, set decorators, costume designers, sound engineers, among many other roles. A selection of digitized audio can be explored here. To learn more, please see the Oral Histories Collection information in the Print Collections section of the AFI Archives website or contact the Archivist, Emily Wittenberg, at [email protected].
