Frank Baum’s wonderful world as a place filled with new friends and uncanny dangers in RETURN TO OZ (1985). A legendary editor and pioneering sound designer who made his feature directorial debut with this film, Murch is the recent recipient of an AFI Honorary Degree – and his co-writer on the film was Gill Dennis, a graduate of the first-ever class of AFI’s Center for Advanced Film Studies, now known as the AFI Conservatory.
