AFI’s collaboration with Spotlight Cinema Networks showcases rare archival footage from the AFI Archive within Spotlight’s pre-show entertainment to independent film theaters nationwide. Throughout the year, AFI produces new segments that feature historic moments with master filmmakers, insights from American screen icons and much more. Launched in October 2019, the inaugural pre-show video featured stories about the making of the classic thriller NORTH BY NORTHWEST as told by the “Master of Suspense” himself, Alfred Hitchcock.
