From the AFI Archives: Edith Head’s Personal Sketches

During their recent, ongoing digitization efforts, AFI Archivists uncovered two original pencil sketches, on personal letterhead, by eight-time Oscar®-winning master costumer Edith Head. The sketches were hidden behind a reel containing an oral history of Head, who designed costumes for such true classics as ALL ABOUT EVE, VERTIGO, FUNNY FACE, REAR WINDOW, ROMAN HOLIDAY, SUNSET BOULEVARD, THE STING, SABRINA and so many more.

These sketches will be framed and displayed in the AFI Library.
