 "I did another thing I thought was good. We had so many scenes in the office while the musical numbers were going on outside that I wanted the actors to be aware that there was going to be music playing offstage. I didn't want, later in the dubbing process, to have to lower the music down terribly so that we could hear the dialogue. I did all my rehearsals with the playback going very loud so that the actors would have to get used to speaking up and playing in that fashion."* |
