Written and directed by the Farrelly brothers, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY is a gross-out comedy with a tender heart. Ben Stiller as uber-nerd Ted can't get a date to the prom until popular girl Mary asks him out because "there's something about a man with braces." The evening is a disaster. Thirteen years later, Ted hires sleaze ball detective Matt Dillon to track her down to make amends. A drug-addled dog in a full body cast, a hasty zip and an inexpensive hair product supply unforgettable moments of questionable taste and sheer fun. Diaz's Mary is irresistible.
