Based on real-life events that occurred in Göteborg, Sweden, this latest film from Ruben Östlund (INVOLUNTARY) observes the complex interactions between two groups of young boys, one working class black, the other middle class white and slightly younger. Identifying the younger kids as marks at the local mall, the older kids confront them with a story about a stolen cell phone and accuse one of the kids of possessing it, a con game predicated on subtle intimidation that escalates into active manipulation and progressively more dangerous behavior. Official Selection, 2011 Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Toronto, New York Film Festivals.
