Life isn't easy for pregnant teen Sujelyin: her boyfriend is a deadbeat drug dealer, she struggles to kick her own addictions, and her family doesn't even know she lives on the streets. But once Karla is born, Sujelyin realizes that her lifestyle is not suitable for raising a newborn, and she now fears the police will take her baby away if she doesn't clean up. Driven to create the family life she never had, Sujeylin strives to turn her life around and make things right for her daughter. This gut-wrenching documentary explores one young women's intense and inspiring journey to motherhood and adulthood in the face of nearly insurmountable obstacles.
