HERMANO

Julio and Daniel get the opportunity of a lifetime when a scout from Caracas Football Club attends their soccer match on the dirt fields of the La Ceniza slum. Inseparable ever since Julio and his mother found the newborn Daniel (nicknamed "Gato") in the trash heap outside their apartment, the two brothers begin to drift apart when tragedy strikes at the most inopportune time. Venezuela's entry to the 2011 Academy Awards, this bittersweet tale of brotherly love plays out against a backdrop of stylishly shot, dazzling soccer action. Audience Award, 2010 Los Angeles Latino Film Festival; Best Film, Critics Award and Audience Award, 2010 Moscow Film Festival.
