In the mountainous region of Colombia, a ragtag gang of boys lives and breathes soccer. Not even the impending clash between the paramilitaries and the guerillas can stop the kids from trekking to the soccer field after school, much to their concerned parents' dismay. But when their prized ball gets kicked into a minefield, friends Manuel, Julián and Poca Luz will risk everything to get it back. Featuring terrific performances from its child actors, Carlos Cesar Arbeláez's assured, heartfelt first feature won the New Directors Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
