ABEL

Nine-year-old Abel has refused to speak since his father walked out on the family several years earlier. After spending time in a psychiatric hospital, Abel is reunited with his family, but his older sister and younger brother don't know how to relate to their strange sibling. One day Abel suddenly begins speaking again, but in the voice of a much older man — Abel has become the man of the house. Actor Diego Luna's feature directorial debut was a box-office sensation in Mexico and earned plaudits at the 2010 Sundance, Cannes and San Sebastian Film Festivals.
