PERU
UNDERTOW [Contracorriente]

Miguel is a well-respected fisherman in a small coastal town in Peru. His wife, pregnant with their first child, busies herself with the child's arrival, but Miguel is consumed with a secret passion for his artist lover, Santiago. When an unexpected tragedy occurs and Santiago dies, his ghost returns to seek deliverance from Miguel, who must make a choice between his desire for his lover and his unwillingness to face his prejudiced community. A richly detailed and moving love story, this film won the World Cinema Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
