URUGUAY
BAD DAY TO GO FISHING [Mal día para pescar]

This oddball road odyssey follows Orsini (Gary Piquer), a manager of sorts, and his wrestler client Jacob van Oppen (Jouko Ahola) as they travel through South America putting on sham exhibitions in small towns where bribed locals take fixed shots at the champ. The pair hit a snag in Santa Maria, where the potential challenger might not take the fall. Can the two shysters pull off "one last job" and leave with what little dignity they have left? A quirky delight filled with local color, sly humor and unexpectedly beautiful cinematography, this film follows in the footsteps of WHISKY and ACNE to continue the Uruguayan film industry's hot streak of unique comedies. Winner, FIPRESCI Prize, Sofia International Film Festival.
