WHATEVER WORKS
Opening July 3

Starring Larry David and Evan Rachel Wood

Official Selection, Opening Night Film, 2009 Tribeca Film Festival

Woody Allen returns to New York with an offbeat comedy about crotchety misanthrope Larry David and naive, impressionable young runaway from the south Evan Rachel Wood. When her uptight parents--Patricia Clarkson and Ed Begley, Jr.--arrive to rescue her, they are quickly drawn into wildly unexpected romantic entanglements. Everyone discovers that finding love is just a combination of lucky chance and appreciating the value of WHATEVER WORKS. Across five decades, Woody Allen's films have been synonymous with New York. After four films shot in Europe, he returned to his hometown for this film. Says Allen, "It was great to be back in Manhattan shooting a comedy and especially with such a gifted cast. I'm very lucky." (courtesy Tribeca Film Festival)
