Familial disintegration and alienation lie at the heart of this film from one of Slovenia's best new-wave directors, Igor Sterk. Peter Musevski and Natasa Burger play a middle-aged couple whose marriage has gone stale. Musevski looks for comfort in the arms of prostitutes and an old acquaintance while Burger suffers through crying spells and a fling with a poet. Oldest daughter Nina's first sexual experience plays against her parents' emotional discord.
