THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT
THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT is an international competition for do-it-yourself filmmakers. We give
you a genre, a prop, a character and a line of dialogue
the rest is up to you.
For more information about the project,
visit www.48hourfilm.com.
THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT'S mission is to advance filmmaking and promote
filmmakers. Through its festival/competition, the PROJECT encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies. The tight deadline of 48 hours puts the focus squarely on the filmmakers—emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills. While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on "doing" instead of "talking."
The BEST OF THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT will screen on May 25, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It will screen simultaneously in two theaters. Seats are first come, first served, regardless of theater number printed on tickets.
The 7:00 and 9:30 programs will screen a different set of films.
