Fie Alber

Fie Alber comes from a background in musical theater. In her home country, Denmark, she worked with a touring company as a set constructor, scenic painter and stagehand on musicals big and small. She also designed and created the digital backdrops for a new musical by Danish composer Sebastian. With a longtime love for film, Alber completed her degree in Business, Language and Culture from Copenhagen Business School and studied Technical Design at Roskilde Technical College before moving to Los Angeles.

Anastasia Bankova

Anastasia Bankova has been expressing her passion for arts since early childhood. After graduating from fine art school, she continued her education at All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) with a BA in Production Design and Film Theory and History, obtaining profound skills in classical painting and drawing and taking part in many short film projects as a production designer. Bankova traveled in order to study European art and widen her scope of understanding cultural differences and how they affect art and architecture all over the world.

Jubilate Cox

Jubilate Cox graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, with a BFA in Production Design for Filmmaking. She has a fine arts background, studying painting and sculpture at both the Rhode Island School of Design and the College for Creative Studies. She has worked on more than 30 short films ranging in positions from set decorator to production designer. Cox has designed various music videos, and has also designed and art-directed multiple feature films showcased at international film festivals in Amsterdam and London. Cox has worked with Ford, Fox and Yahoo to develop creative content.

Stella Deng

Stella Deng received a BA in Translation and Literature from Hong Kong Baptist University and completed the professional certificate in Interior and Architectural Design at Hong Kong Design Institute. She worked as a fashion show set designer for two years, with clients including Ralph Lauren and Elie Saab. With her background in fashion, she decided to apply her creativity to the film industry. She excels at transforming the intricacies of scripts into visuals that are symbolically sophisticated or extravagantly eye-catching. Deng's short film PLASTIC won the Diamond Award in the Experimental Film Competition of the California Film Awards.

Argya Sadan graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in Bangalore, India, and has worked for award-winning architecture firms. Sadan worked in a sustainable eco-design firm in Cape Town, South Africa, to create quality housing at minimal costs and to the benefit of local economies. She started in the social sector when she took on a fellowship at Make A Difference to handle a team of writers, designers and videographers to spread awareness about quality education for children at risk. She was recognized for her work in the LeadershipXDesign Conference for planning visual design aspects of camps for children across 23 Indian cities. Her passion for telling stories through film and design led her to the AFI Conservatory.

Emma Sparer graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture. From there, she worked at Pentagram — an international, multi-disciplinary design firm — in San Francisco for two-and-a-half years. While at Pentagram, Sparer assisted on projects ranging from commercial interiors, exhibition and installation design to web design consultation. Recently she worked in the art department on two AFI Conservatory Directing Workshop for Women projects, as well as a Make-A-Wish film. Throughout these experiences, Sparer collaborated to maintain integrity to brand, concept and story — skills that she now incorporates with her passion for narrative filmmaking.

Yang has designed and art-directed multiple short films as well as a feature film. Her distinct visual style has been showcased in books and magazines, as well as film festivals around the world. Recently, she was recognized at the 2016 American Movie Awards in the category of Production Design/Art Direction for her work on the film PRESSURE-MAN.
