JAMES L. BROOKS

James L. Brooks is a three-time Academy Award® winner and 20-time Emmy Award® winner. A director, writer and producer, he is one of the most important master storytellers of our time. His films and classic television shows include AS GOOD AS IT GETS, LOU GRANT, THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW, RHODA, ROOM 222, THE SIMPSONS, TAXI, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT and THE TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW.

HEIDI LEVITT (AFI Class of 1987, Producing)

A graduate of the AFI Conservatory and Barnard College, Heidi Levitt has cast such films as THE ARTIST, JFK, LAKEVIEW TERRACE and NATURAL BORN KILLERS. Recently, she cast and served as an associate producer on CESAR CHAVEZ, directed by Diego Luna. Levitt also cast the Wim Wenders film EVERY THING WILL BE FINE, which stars James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rachel McAdams.

JACQUELINE LYANGA (AFI Class of 2001, Screenwriting)

Jacqueline Lyanga is the Director of AFI FEST, the American Film Institute’s annual film festival in Los Angeles. A graduate of the AFI Conservatory, she has been a guest and moderator of industry panels at the Berlinale, the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival. Prior to working for AFI FEST, Lyanga worked for a number of other film organizations including the Toronto International Film Festival, the Slamdance Film Festival and the Independent Film & Television Alliance.

BRIAN UDOVICH (AFI Class of 2004, Producing)

Brian Udovich is an award-winning feature film producer and AFI Conservatory graduate whose credits include ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, BAD TURN WORSE and THE WACKNESS. Udovich’s thesis film, THE MONSTER AND THE PEANUT, was the recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation grant and won a College Television Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation in 2004. For three years, he has served as the committee chair for the Independent Spirit Awards’ selection of the Piaget Producers Grant.
