Celebrating its 21st year as a program of the American Film Institute, AFI FEST spans 10 days each November and features new films from emerging filmmakers, global showcases of the latest work from established film masters and glamorous red-carpet premieres. The Festival hosts over 150 films from more than 40 countries with upwards of 500 international filmmakers attending.

It's a real team effort of enormous size and scope, and we couldn't do it without our dedicated volunteers.

AFI FEST 2007 seeks energetic, enthusiastic volunteers to assist with red-carpet premieres, parties, the Rooftop Village, video production and more.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DIRECTORY

VIC (Volunteer Information Center) Net is our online program that allows you as a volunteer to interact with the Volunteer Department at your convenience. It's easy to use and gives you immediate access to your schedule.

Once you sign up, you'll receive our monthly newsletter with information about upcoming volunteer mixers, orientation meetings, free tickets and other exciting AFI events year round.

All volunteers who give of their time to AFI FEST are eligible to receive movie vouchers, Festival passes and additional rewards. We look forward to meeting and working with you!

Important information for AFI FEST 2007 volunteers:

Volunteer orientation is finished and we look forward to working with you in making this year's AFI FEST 2007 an exciting one. Please see the FAQ below for more information.

I wasn't able to make it to orientation, I am not signed up for shifts, or I would like more shifts.
Come to the HP offices at 6425 Hollywood Blvd., Suite 201, Los Angeles, 90028, from Oct 24 - Oct 27, 10:00am - 7:30pm.

I have questions about my schedule or I need to cancel a shift.
Check Vic Net first and if you have any more questions or don't have a password, contact Brent at 323-962-9108. Please don't cancel a shift unless it's absolutely necessary (and give advance notice if possible). We're counting on you! If you must cancel a shift, call 323-962-9086.

Where to I pick up my badge and T-shirt?
Volunteers can pick up their T-shirts and badges on Oct. 30 (10:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.) at the AFI FEST Village, seventh floor of the ArcLight parking structure, 6360 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, 90026. Remember you must have signed and turned in a waiver release form to get your badge. There will forms at the office.

Come to the AFI FEST Village on Saturday Oct. 27 or Sunday Oct. 28, 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Ask for Tracy Weatherby at Registration.

Where do I park?
Parking passes that you have purchased through AFI FEST are not valid until 5 p.m. Do not attempt to park at the ArcLight using your pass, as you may be towed. Less-expensive parking is available nearby at Grant Parking, LA Film School and on the street. See Parking and Transportation for more information.

Where do I check in?
After you have your T-shirt and badge, check in with the Volunteer Team in the Green Room, located in AFI FEST Village. If you are working off-site, check in with your assigned department. Make sure they are verifying your hours so that you're eligible for incentives.
