What is a Press Pass?
An AFI FEST Press Pass admits one person to all Festival screenings with the exception of Gala screenings and the Tribute. A Press Pass will also grant you admittance to the Cinema Lounge.
How do I cover a Gala event or this year's Tribute?
Space is limited for these events and hard tickets are required. Please contact the AFI FEST publicity team at festpublicity@AFI.com to request a ticket to the ticketed events that you wish to cover.
Do I need a hard ticket or a Press Pass to cover red carpets?
Neither a hard ticket nor a press pass is required for photographers or broadcast crews that would like to cover red carpets at the AFI FEST. However you must contact the AFI FEST publicity team to request a spot on red carpets. Please email us at festpublicity@AFI.com.
Can I bring a guest to a screening on my pass?
No, we're sorry, but space is limited.
How much does a Press Pass cost?
A Press Pass is offered at no charge. The only potential cost you might incur is parking at the ArcLight: $2.50 for the first four hours and $6 for the entire day.
How do I request interviews with filmmakers or festival representatives?

Where can I download pictures of the films in the Festival?
During the Festival images will be available for download on Image.net. If you are not an Image.net user yet, please visit www.image.net to register. Registering is easy, free and it will give you access to all of our publicity materials as they become available.
How do I get press kits, bios and film stills?
Image.net will have downloadable stills of the films as well as electronic presskits as they become available. Accredited press will also have access to hard copies of press kits, bios, EPKs and screeners (when available) at the Festival Press Office.
When and where can I pick up my Press Pass?
You may pick up your pass at the Press Center, located in the Rooftop Village at ArcLight Hollywood beginning October 30. Details will be included in your acceptance e-mail.
Does the AFI FEST Press Pass include access to AFM?
No. Each event requires a separate and distinct press pass.
How do I get the latest news during the Festival?
If you register for AFI's email newsletter you will get the latest information about the festival delivered to your inbox daily. Go to www.AFI.com/AFIFEST to subscribe. Also, please feel free to stop by the Press Office for news. We will try to help you with your stories in whatever way we can.
Where will I be able to conduct interviews during the Festival?
Accredited press members will have access to interview rooms located on the roof of the ArcLight theatre in the AFI FEST Press Center. In order to schedule interview space please contact Lagan Sebert at lsebert@AFI.com.
Will press have mailboxes during the Festival?
All accredited press will have a mailbox at the AFI FEST Press Center during the Festival.
Will photos be needed from accredited press?
Yes. All badges will feature photos at this year's AFI FEST. Details will be in your accreditation notification.
Festival Material and Images
For festival materials and images please go to image.net. If you are not registered to image.net see the instructions below.
There is no charge to the media to download images or press information from image.net, however you must be registered.
1. Go to http://www.image.net and click on "register."
2. Fill in the registration form (this will take less than two minutes).
3. When asked for a referral code, enter 6560.
