DALSA Digital Cinema, a sponsor of AFI FEST 2006 presented by Audi, for the first time presents an award to an exceptional AFI FEST short-form filmmaker.

The award prize includes a seven-day rental of a Sony F900 or Panasonic Varicam High Definition camera package worth $10, 760. The rental package includes standard and wide zoom lenses, monitor, mattebox, follow focus, tripod, baby tripod, hi hat and batteries.

Josh Greco, DALSA marketing and communications, says, "It's incredibly difficult process to make a successful movie, and as a full service digital ecosystem, DALSA supports the entire spectrum of production budgets."

DALSA Digital Cinema is a Woodland Hills-based company devoted to helping directors, producers, and cinematographers capture their artistic visions. Over 25 years ago, DALSA built a reputation for expertise and grew their line card from just a few products to a wide range of high-performance cameras, lenses, lighting, grip and accessories.

Greco continues, "We particularly enjoy helping to put next generation filmmakers on the map, with a full range of digital cinema cameras, including some unavailable anywhere else in the world."

The awards ceremony for AFI FEST 2006 will be held the last day of the festival on Sunday, November 12, 11:00 AM, in The LOFT at the AFI FEST Rooftop Village.
