The surreal French mystery FISSURES - originally titled ÉCOUTE LE TEMPS - has been picked up for an English-language remake.

FISSURES, written and directed by Alanté Kavaïté and starring Émilie Dequenne, made its world premiere November 5 at AFI FEST 2006 presented by Audi.

In FISSURES, a daughter's investigation into her mother's murder is aided by a sound engineer's discovery at the scene of the crime: sounds from the past are blending with sounds from the present.

Joe Dante and Elizabeth Stanley are teaming to produce the new version of FISSURES which, according to Variety, will be directed by Eduardo Rodriguez. Greg Tak will adapt the screenplay.
