DAY NINE November 11, 2005
Celebs Get Customized Experience at AFI FEST Gift Lounge
by Brent Simon
AFI FEST 2005 presented by Audi has teamed up with On 3 Productions, the leader in celebrity gifting, to produce a coveted gift collection--valued in total at close to $15,000--for celebrities participating in the Festival. The Official Talent Gift Lounge--located in the Audi Pavilion at the Rooftop Village--will be open to celebrities beginning Friday, November 11, and continuing exclusively during evenings throughout the final weekend of AFI FEST. Those expected to attend include Tributee Johnny Depp, TIMES TALKS participant George Clooney, Heath Ledger, Sienna Miller, Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Jeremy Irons, Oliver Pratt, Tom Arnold, Henry Winkler, Shannon Elizabeth and Brenda Strong--all of whom will enjoy customizing their own gift bags, choosing from a prestigious assortment of luxury products and services.
On 3 Productions has a storied history specializing in customized gifting experiences for major award shows and other charity, entertainment and sporting events--including this coming year's Super Bowl--but their partnership with AFI FEST did present a chance for another first. "We have done Sundance before, but this is the first time we've done an official gift lounge backstage at a Festival in Los Angeles," says Samantha Milo Haft of On 3 Productions. "We believe that it's a fabulous opportunity in terms of the amount of talent that the Festival has attracted so far and will continue to attract, heading into the weekend."
The official, prepackaged Talent Gift Bag includes: a fashionable robe and pajama set from Aegean Apparel; Altoids' curiously strong mints; a one-year passport membership to CRUNCH Fitness; For.Play Cosmetics' Bodylicious Luxe Collection; Level Vodka; a luxurious Mario Russo travel pouch; Mellow Mutts' "Stinky Butt" dog shampoo; a one-year membership to Netflix; the Scene It! DVD game; the new, T-String Partners, LLC cell phone/Ipod holder, worn on your wrist and available in 24 designs; and selections from Stunning Details' semiprecious gemstone jewelry, created by Rhonda Reagan. As a bonus, it can all be rolled away in Kipling's 19-inch expandable trolley--made of lightweight durable nylon, and available in two of fall's hottest new colors, amber and ruby.
Customizable luxuries include a seven-day VIP lease of one of Audi's award-winning vehicles; a gift certificate for LASIK surgery from the Assil Eye Institute; Calvin Klein Fragrances' new Euphoria and Obsession Night scent collections; Kipling's Sugar-L Tote; watches from Invicta's 2005 Metamorphosis collection; an annual movie pass for two to all Loews Cineplex theaters; Red Diamond wine selections; and Ziamond's signature cubic zirconia earrings for women and classic Bezel and Pave' lapel pin/tie-tacs for men.
