Meanwhile, far away in the country, two poor lost kids, only able to meet one Sunday a month, get mixed up in a murder and have to pay outside the law. The two stories remain totally unrelated until, as the troubled economist's own undiagnosable problems reach their crisis, he becomes "the enlightened messenger" that draws everything into a transcendental conclusion.
