MIDNIGHT KISS gets love from IFC
IN SEARCH OF A MIDNIGHT KISS got a big boost at AFM when IFC Entertainment bought all American rights to the romantic comedy. In addition, producer Seth Caplan says the film is currently in talks this with buyers at AFM about U.K. distribution. The film from director Alex Holdridge, tells a smart tale about a loser in his late 20's who posts a New Year's Eve romance ad on Craigslist and goes on the date of a lifetime. It screens at AFI FEST at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 3 @ ArcLight 10, and again at 7:15 Nov. 10 @ ArcLight 13.

AFM OPENS FOR BUSINESS
The American Film Market opened its doors Wednesday for eight days of film screenings, panels and industry schmoozing. The AFM has sold out all exhibition space for the 4th year in a row, with 430 production and distribution companies from 30 countries holding court at the Lowes Santa Monica Beach Hotel and Le Merigot Beach Hotel. Thirty-six films from AFI FEST are being represented at AFM and the majority of the film screenings at the market are either world or industry premieres.
