AFM Alliance
Founded in 1981, the American Film Market (AFM) has grown steadily over the last two decades to become the largest motion picture trade event in the world. Unlike a film festival, the AFM is a marketplace where over $500 million in production and distribution deals are closed annually. Beginning this fall, the American Film Market (AFM) moved to and established a strategic alliance with AFI FEST 2004 presented by Audi, creating the first festival/market structure in North America. Programs included conjoined international film industry marketing efforts; an integrated shuttle and Audi vehicle transportation service providing frequent, quick and comfortable rides between Santa Monica and Hollywood; a combined registration program allowing complete access to over 7,000 film executives from 70 countries for AFI FEST filmmakers; and access to AFI FEST screenings for AFM buyers and sellers.
