AFI Festival News Update

HACKS was a late addition to our schedule, but drew an impressive crowd of around 400 people to the Mann's Chinese Theater last night. Director Gary Rosen and producer Jason Clark introduced the film, which featured well-known actors such as Stephen Rea, Illeana Douglas, John Ritter, Tom Arnold, Richard Kind, Ryan O'Neal, Lisa Kudrow, Olivia D'Abo and Jason Priestly. A short film called LUNCH WITH LOUIE, directed by Peter Robinson, was screened just before HACKS and surprised the audience with an appearance by former District Attorney Marsha Clark.—Festival Reporter, Alec Schechter
