The United States Postal Service presents "Legends of Hollywood" Commemorative Stamp Unveiling Wednesday, October 29, 1997 7:00p.m. / 10:00p.m. Unveiling / Reception - BY INVITATION ONLY Hollywood Entertainment Museum 7021 Hollywood Boulevard 8:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. Classic Film Screening - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mann's Chinese Theatre 6925 Hollywood Boulevard In conjunction with the American Film Institute, the United States Postal Service will announce and unveil the stamp design for the 1998 "Legends of Hollywood" series. The stamp unveiling will take place at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum followed by a special screening of a classic Hollywood film in honor of the Hollywood legend at the Mann's Chinese Theatre. The evening will conclude with a private reception at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum immediately following the screening. The 1998 subject will join past "Legends of Hollywood" Commemorative Stamp honorees Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and most recently Humphrey Bogart.
