BRIDE OF MIDNIGHT

Based on a screenplay by Luis Buñuel, this is a gothic tale of jealousy and ambition, focusing on a wealthy family living in isolation in rural Galicia at the end of the 19th century. When a young man comes to visit and becomes attracted to the beautiful daughter, dark secrets begin to surface. Against a backdrop of ancient trees, the manor house and the cliffs, the movie takes on the tone of a classic Hammer film, slowly revealing the pieces of the puzzle as the attractive couple are drawn closer to each other.
