Summary: Jenny, a poor New York shopgirl, is befriended by two members of the bored and idle rich, Mrs. Chrystal Pole and Philip Chandos, who through the association deepen their lives. The girl marries Fermoy MacDonough, an electrician, and years later these four principals are able to recount their experience to benefit another waif.
