Independent Television Service (ITVS) produces, develops and markets a diverse range of independent film programming for "Independent Lens" on PBS. Their AFI Digital Content Lab project intends to create a short-film contest to promote new episodes of the series. The Lab project team combines the talents of television, new media and film producers, working together to create a contest that will stand out from the user-generated pack. The "Independent Lens" contest will leverage Eyespot technology, allowing users to edit their films entirely online, if they choose.
