The Emmy and Peabody Award-winning THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports and entertainment with an alternative point of view: "Same World. Different Take." In each show anchorman Jon Stewart and a team of correspondents, including Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Mo Rocca, Nancy Walls, Matt Walsh and Lauren Weedman, comment on the day's stories, employing actual news footage, taped field pieces, in-studio guests and on-the-spot coverage of important news events.

Comedy Central, working in partnership with Spiderdance, Cylo and Microsoft TV developed both a one and two screen prototype of THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART designed to expand and deepen the audience experience with one of the more irreverent shows on television. As THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART tapes live nearly every night the challenge was to come up with an editorially driven interactive concept that could be executed and updated on a day-to-day basis. The editorial voice used also needed to remain true to the distinct tone of THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART.

Several different and highly flexible interactive templates were developed for the producers to work with, each focusing on features that could be easily switched out and easily updated on a nightly basis with new copy. These features include interactive polls, factoids, crawls, submit your own captions and our very own THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART satellite template.
