AFI-CPB Training For Public Broadcasters
American Film Institute and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting announce the 2005-2006 AFI-CPB digital production training initiatives for public broadcasting producers and station executives. Under the umbrella of the AFI Digital Content Lab, AFI-CPB trainees expand their knowledge and capabilities in new and emerging digital production opportunities.

- October 1, 2006 (productions begin in November '06)
- December 15, 2006 (productions begin in February '07)
AFI-CPB FELLOWSHIPS - Audit a commercial or PTV production team that is investigating and building innovative digital solutions, and learn how to apply those solutions to your own projects. Fellowship includes stipend that covers travel and expenses to required events. 2004 production teams included, among others, WGBH, MTV, Nickelodeon, Bravo and Scripps Networks.
AFI-CPB TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS - Attend key AFI DCL training events and learn valuable digital production skills. Scholarship covers airfare to/from events.
AFI DIGITAL CONTENT LAB PRODUCTIONS - Work with industry pros to flesh out a brand new digital interactive show or media concept of your own. Or build a digital pilot for your own organization's existing media property.

2005 AFI-CPB Scholarship Recipient

Eligibility: Any producer, executive or other employee of a public television station or other public TV entity, and independent producers whose work has appeared on public television, are eligible to apply.
Criteria: Selection will be made based upon the quality of the application, prior experience and applicant's plans to integrate AFI DCL training into his/her work in public broadcasting.
