THE SUPREME PRICE

In 1993, Nigeria elected MKO Abiola as president in an historic vote, ending the reign of military leadership. Shortly after the presidential election, Abiola was imprisoned and his wife, Kudirat, became the leader of the Nigerian pro-democracy movement. THE SUPREME PRICE tells the story of the Abiola family through the eyes of their daughter Hafsat Abiola. A graduate of Harvard, Hafsat has dedicated her life to continuing the fight for democracy and women's rights in Nigeria. – SB
