SLAYING THE BADGER

Greg LeMond was the first American to win the prestigious Tour de France. This engaging film looks back at the 1986 Tour in which LeMond went neck and neck with teammate, mentor and fierce competitor Bernard Hinault — nicknamed "The Badger." When Hinault reneged on a promise to help LeMond win his first victory, the naive American learned it would be every man for himself. Featuring contemporary interviews with both men, the story makes cycling every bit as gripping as a thriller. – AP
