Congratulations to our friends at the Sundance Film Institute for winning the last round of the American Express Members Project. Sundance is an extraordinary organization that advances the work of innovative, risk-taking storytellers worldwide.
AFI took second place in the last round, but we've been selected to participate again. And we're only going to do it if we win - and to win we need your weekly vote now through February 20, 2011.
The prize is $200,000, which would directly fund scholarships for young men and women to attend the AFI Conservatory and help AFI's efforts to preserve the history of film through the AFI Archive and the AFI Catalog of Feature Films.
